I both loath and love the fall months. The weather is beautiful, as are the colors of the trees and leaves, but the fact that the cold winter months are coming is always in the back of my mind. These five delicately grungy textures are a sort of ode to this time of the year. The color inspiration came from the purple and reddish hues the appear when the sun hits the dead leaves on the ground later in the day. Sometimes it’s the little things that inspire.
They were created by mixing muddy and grungy images with some leftover paper scans I had from the last set. I layered them in Photoshop with various blending modes and a healthy dose of coloring. In total, each texture consists of five various ones blended together to get the final effect. Hopefully you guys can find some unique uses for them in your work.
